Any Child Can Succeed

Teenagers face many challenges — at home, at school, and on the streets. These challenges can make kids question their self worth and chances for success. From Ordinary to Extraordinary is a powerful presentation that helps middle and high school students see what is possible when they look past personal obstacles and work hard to succeed.

From Ordinary to Extraordinary uses a mix of informal presentation and energizing video clips to illustrate key attitudes and skill sets that open the door to success. Students are encouraged to recognize their potential, believe in themselves, and apply themselves to achieve.

Outcomes: From Ordinary to Extraordinary demonstrates the importance of key skills and behaviors, including:

  • Appreciating one’s own personal value, unique talents, and potential for success
  • Facing and overcoming obstacles
  • Fostering appropriate, meaningful and trusting relationships
  • Developing a strong, goal-oriented work ethic
  • Being accountable for one’s actions and decisions

Approach: In this dynamic presentation, students are challenged to change patterns of thinking and make better choices to unlock their potential to succeed. By sharing personal stories of challenge and success, the presenter connects with and inspires students of all backgrounds and circumstances.

Who: From Ordinary to Extraordinary is ideal for all middle and high school audiences.

When: This is a two hour assembly presentation (length can be modified to fit available time).

Where: Your school or the site of your choice.

Requirements: The school supplies a cordless lapel microphone and large screen.
Other attendance considerations: Ordinary to Extraordinary will make a strong impression on students at any middle or high school. In particular, schools that have adopted (or are considering) Capturing Kids’ Hearts and Teen Leadership will see the impact that these transformational programs can have on the lives of students.
